Scriptures on Sleep (Or Lack of It)

  •  Mark 4: 38 “But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?”  Trust God with the stormy situations in our lives. God does care about what causes us to toss and turn at night. He never sleeps, so we don’t need to awaken Him to our distresses. Give them over to Him and ask Him to calm our nerves.


  • Philippians 2:12 “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.” Having faith in God’s presence in your life helps to eliminate fear and distrust.
